Faculty of Oriental Studies
Faculty of Oriental Studies was founded in 1968; its structure includes 3 chairs. Faculty offers around 10 educational programs for bachelors and masters. The faculty has around 600 students and around 100 lecturers.

Faculty of Oriental Studies cooperates with a number of local and foreign educational centers, public authorities. The faculty currently has established strong ties with leading centers of Oriental Studies abroad - in Iran, Egypt, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon.

In order to coordinate the cooperation with the enterprises, council of the faculty on the cooperation with the enterprises has been formed according to the "Regulation of the council of YSU faculty on the cooperation with the enterprises.”

The YSU Alumni and Career Center organized courses and two-day educational visits firstly for the YSU Ijevan branch and then for other YSU students. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint the students with the opportunities available in the labor market and to transfer new knowledge and skills through the courses.

The goal of the project implemented within the framework of cooperation between YSU Alumni and Career Center and "Mandate of the Future" youth NGO is to neutralize the social isolation of vulnerable young people (displaced persons, refugees, socially vulnerable, etc.) by promoting their employment, economic and civic participation.
