Maternal and Child Health Research Centre
Maternal and Child Health Research Center was established in Yerevan in 1937, on the basis of the Research Institute of Maternity and Childhood Protection (organized in 1931). 1989 "Scientific Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology," renamed "Mother and Child Health Research Center."

The institute has an obstetrics department, normal obstetrics, premature births, pregnancy and artaserakan pathology, neonatal departments, gynecology department, surgical and conservative treatment departments, women's consultation (later renamed the Scientific and consultative clinic), physiotherapy department, infertility, endokrinolgiakan, dental, therapy cabinets. There are also klinikaakhtoroshich, Cytology, akhtabana-morphology, etc. Institute of scientific advice.

The main objectives of the Institute are the special peculiarities of function of physiology and pathology of the woman's body, physiology and pathology of newborn, stillbirth, maternal and child mortality study and other issues, improvement and specialization of young obstetrician-gynecologists.

It cooperates with the YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology.
