The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945, after World War II. It unites 193 member states to maintain international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, social progress and better standards of life and promote human rights around the goals.
Armenia has joined the United Nations on March 2, 1992, and in December of that year was established by the UN Office in Yerevan. Since then, Armenia has signed and ratified a number of international agreements. UN Country Team, led by the UN Resident Coordinator, made up of 15 specialized agencies, funds and programs.
