“NIKE” squad has been formed in 2007. It consists of students, who want to assist YSU Culture Centre in its various works. Those students are from different faculties of YSU. Posting wallpapers and propagating announcements in the courses, the Squad provides the students’ awareness about varied events and meeting that YSU Culture Centre organizes.
The members of the Squad make different organizational and coordinating works during the events. They also discuss the members’ suggestions and ideas and then realize the best ones.
We should notice that in 2010 on Children International Day the “NIKE” squad has organized an amazing event in the courtyard of YSU Main Building.
The members of the Squad are also activists of the Cinema club of YSU Culture Centre. They recurrently participate in the movie-watching and discussing events and meeting with the filmmakers, producers and other representatives of the creative team.
From 2017 the members of the squad organise periodical visits to the art masters' studios in the frimework of the program "Cultural upbringing".
The Squad is replenished every semester. The meetings with the members are held on two days a week. Now the Squad consists of 25 active students.
The coordinator of “NIKE” volunteer squad is Arevik Prazyan.
