The homeland of certain types of wheat is the Armenian Highland. Archeological excavations have discovered wheat grains, and it turned out that 2.5 thousand years ago the Ararat Valley cultivated wheat and soft wheat. Barley cultivation in Armenia started 5-6 thousand years ago. The purity and unity of the grains discovered during the excavations indicate that in the 9th-6th centuries BC. varieties of barley were prepared, from which beer was prepared.
