A roundtable discussion took place today at YSU Center for Conflict Studies. The lecture was attended by Professor of Nevada University, author of many books Pertch Berberyan (Berberoghli) and students of the Faculty of Sociology of Nevada State University.
At the initiative of YSU graduate Sona Grigoryan a Film Club has been opened at YSU Center for Gender Studies and Leadership. Sona, a graduate of the program Women's Studies, Leadership and Development at YSU Faculty of Sociology tells us about the club's goals and the Girls' Leadership and Development Summer School "ARCANE".
In Armenia, the phenomenon of gender inequality still remains relevant. In recent years, numerous studies have been conducted that focus on women’s rights, women’s role in society, gender inequality and domestic violence. During the conversation with us the lecturer of YSU Faculty of History, researcher of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences Aghasi Tadevosyan touched upon the above mentioned issues.

Today, YSU Center for Gender Studies and Leadership organized a research on the theme "Clothes as a woman's image and a means of deconstruction in late Soviet times" by ethnographer, cultural anthropologist Lilit Manukyan.
Today, YSU Center for Gender Studies and Leadership has presented the results of the research “Social Status of the Aged Women in Armenia: in the context of aging feminization”.
International experts presented the Armenian and international experience of gender inequality.
On June 27, the results of the study “Economic activities of men and women in the RA” were presented at YSU.
On June 10, the round table discussion “Cultural context of the institutionalizing of the gender studies in the Xxi century” was held at YSU.
On June 11, the results of the research “The gender discourse: from hysteria to constructive policy” were presented at YSU.
