GENDER ISSUES WERE IN FOCUS
GENDER ISSUES WERE IN FOCUS
On June 10, the round table discussion “Cultural context of the institutionalizing of the gender studies in the Xxi century” was held at YSU.

The purpose of the recent discussion organized by YSU Centre for Leadership and Gender Studies was the public awareness on the measures and actions that address the gender issues and the implementation of the interventions at the institutional level.

Director of the Centre for Leadership and Gender Studies Gohar Shahnazaryan told us that during the discussion an attempt was made to bring together the views of experts on the gender issues, as well as present the latest research results: “This event also aims to create a discussion on cultural perceptions of gender issues and create a platform for presenting the transformations in the XXI century.”

During the round-table discussion such topics as the cultural aspects of gender studies, gender studies institutionalization features, factors that facilitate or impede the institutionalization of gender studies, gender studies perspectives, the development on the institutional level, etc. were discussed.

The round-table discussion was followed by a question and answer session. The presented studies will be posted on the website of the Center, and the best ones will be published in a separate collection.
