NEW MANUAL FOR THE SPECIALISTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE
Today the presentation of new book "Political Systems of Western Democracies: Theory and Modernity" was organized at YSU Center for Greek Studies. This excellent book is written by Ashot Alexanyan.

The authors students and colleagues and gathered at the above mentioned center on this occasion today. It took more than a year to write this book. The main difficulty was in the area of official resources, as their major part was available only in native languages, - said Candidate of political Science, Associate Professor Ashot Alexanyan.

The vital issues of the democratic theory are focused on in this book. The governing systems and regularities of their development in Great Britain, USA, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and European Union are analyzed thoroughly.

Mr. Alexanyan spoke about the features of governing systems in all the above mentioned countries and organizations, as well as the interesting sides of the process. It is surprising, but many laws in our country are more liberal than in developed western countries. In reality we have got a lot to learn if we want to have stabile system of political governing, - said Ashot Alexanyan.

This as well as Mr. Alexanyans previous book was published owing to the support, shown by Open Society Institute Higher Education Support Project. Both manuals are used today during the educational process by second and third year students at the chairs of Political Science and Public Management of YSU Faculty of International Relations. I would like to write a term paper about the US political system, and the only problem of mine was the absence of literature. Now I am sure I will face no problem in the area of the literature on Armenian language, - said third year student Grigor Yeritsyan.

The importance of this manual was also pointed out by Henzel Manoucharyan, Professor from YSU Chair of Political Science: This is really very significant work. But I would also like the traditional eastern political systems to be observed and discussed, too, as our country is our country is at their junction.
