The event, organized by YSU Faculty of Radiophysics, NAS RA, Synopsys Armenia Company and Barva Innovation Center, was attended by specialists from different Armenian universities and scientific centers, as well as guests from abroad, including Italy and the Russian Federation.
YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan, Dean of the Faculty of Radiophysics Khachatur Nerkararyan, Vice President of NAS RA, Academician Edward Ghazaryan and Head of Barva Innovation Center Aram Vardanyan also participated in the conference.
Academician Vladimir Harutyunyan, Head of the Chair of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics of YSU Faculty of Radiophysics highlighted the importance of holding the conference at YSU and the works on development of international cooperation.
“The holding of the conference has become a good tradition, which proves that the scientific ties are strengthened. The sphere is multi-layered and quite actual. Today, without nanotechnologies it is impossible to imagine development and progress,” - said the academician.
Aram Vardanyan highly appreciated the cooperation of Armenian specialists with foreign scientific centers: “The Armenian specialists are overcoming all the difficulties and organize this conference to sum up the developments in the field. As a result of such discussions and scientific debates, ideas are born.”
Professor Vartan Galstyan, a professor at Brescia University, Italy, first presented the scientific laboratory and its main directions, which are being implemented. In particular, the professor spoke about the features and experiments of sensors designed and processed in the laboratory.
The international conference will continue its work tomorrow.
