Within the framework of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) International Science and Technology Initiative (MISTI) Global Teaching Labs (GTL) program Yerevan State University (YSU) hosted three students back in January this year for the first time. MIT students Yu Jing Chen, Anne Snyder, and Sean Zhang taught three different subjects and held hands-on workshops for YSU students.

Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

Media literacy and the study of media tools, politics, and legal defense: from animal biological activity to catalysts and pharmaceuticals, etc. Many pupils of high schools and colleges of Yerevan and RA marzes (regions) get to know all this during their visits to different faculties of YSU.

As a result of the "Ph.D. Students and Young Applicants Research Support Program-2022" competition, funding was guaranteed for YSU Chemistry Faculty graduate student Tigran Yeganyan's "Catalysts for asymmetric domino reactions initiated by the mercapto group. The YSU delegation participated in the discussion on "Possibilities of using geo-information technologies in the assessment and preservation of the state of historical and cultural heritage values" held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Kingdom of Spain), during which various reports related to the cultural heritage of a number of countries were presented.
