The American University of Armenia (AUA) Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) Program Chair Dr. Vahram Ter-Matevosyan presented his recent book “Turkey, Kemalism and the Soviet Union: Problems of Modernization Ideology and Interpretation.” The book was released by Palgrave Macmillan.
The French strategist, the researcher of international conflict analysis Gerard Shalian delivered a lecture in the Paleans hall of YSU.
Currently the energy supply mainly depends on fossil fuels, which leads to a great extent for greenhouse gas emissions and global temperature increase. Another problem is the generation of different industrial and agricultural waste products in huge amounts. Effective utilization of these products could lead both to waste treatment and cost-effective energy production.

Doctor Svante Lundgren, a professor of the Center of Middle East Studies at the Lund University (Sweden), delivered a series of lectures at YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies on April 8-18.
