ARMENIAN TATUL WAS BORN AGAIN
Exactly 22 years ago our hero Tatul Krpeyan passed away.
The memorial event, dedicated to Tatul Krpeyan, was organized by YSU Faculty of History and Military-patriotic Education Club Vardanank.

The students should be brought up in the spirit of patriotism and know that the best example of patriotism is the protection of the motherland. And the best example are the Artsakh Liberation War heroes, - said Dean of the Faculty of History Edik Minasyan.

The event was attended by brother, wife, daughter, military friends of Tatul, Deputy Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense Felix Poghosyan, lecturers and students of the Faculty of History.

The participants of the event watched the film about Tatul Krpeyan. Then the folk ensemble Maratuk made performances.

During the operation Circle Tatul showed an unprecedented courage, and saved people of Getashen from slaughter. Such a man was our hero, who was born in April and died in April. We should eternalize their memory in our hearts, - said Associate Professor at YSU Faculty of History Artavazd Darbinyan.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
