AUDITORIUM CALLED AFTER SEYRAN AMIRYAN
“The power of love unites us. Anything we talk about we come to the idea that love is the basis of human relations,” – has once said Seyran Amiryan.

Today, an auditorium called after Seyran Amiryan, was opened at the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology.

Colleagues, students, friends and relatives came to the event, dedicated to the famous psychologist.

YSU Rector Aram Simonyan welcomed the guests and spoke about the virtues of this individuality and also thanked all those who had initiated this event.

A film about the hero of the day was shown. After the screening the excited audience was applauding for a long time.

“He was filled with absolute love towards life and used to spread that love,” - said Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology Alexan Baghdasaryan, focusing on the life and activities of Mr. Amiryan.

Words of remembrance and respect, as well as fascinating episodes from Seyran’s life were told by YSU Rector, Dean of the Faculty of Armenian Philology Artsrun Avagyan, Professor Samvel Muradyan and others.

2nd year student Shushan Hasasyan was very excited.

“We are happy that we were lucky to attend his lectures. Mr. Amiryan was not only a teacher for us, he was ready to explain everything again and again and he never was angry then, he was a true friend to us, whom we will never forget,” – said Shushan Hasasyan.

At the end of the event, son of Mr. Amiryan David Amiryan, who is also a lecturer at the University, thanked everyone for the warm words and added that the auditorium-lab is not only to serve for its original goal, but to keep alive the memory of his father.
