THE NEW YSU COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT IS UNDER DISCUSSION
2021 May 21 expires the current collective agreement of YSU.

About two months ago, a special commission was set up by the joint decision of the acting YSU Rector and the President of the YSU Trade Union.

YSU Trade Union President Armen Avetisyan clarifies that “The draft collective agreement was discussed by the commission, approved and sent to all structural subdivisions of YSU in accordance with the law, which must hold discussions and submit all comments by May 11. and suggestions. "If there are no proposals or remarks before the above-mentioned period, the parties will sign a collective agreement, and it will enter into force for a period of 3 years immediately after publication."

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

YSU rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, along with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of RA Karen Trchunyan, hosted the delegation headed by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. For his activity and significant contribution to increasing inter-university bonds, the rector handed a certificate of gratitude to Myasnikovich.
