Today, a group of students, participants of the program Internship, met a member of the board of Mayor of Yerevan, Armen Gevorgyan. The purpose of the meeting was to give students the opportunity to apply for an internship in the substructures of the City Hall: in the communities, administrative centers, schools. Students are expected to work in these inspections about a month, and at the end of their program will be paid.
The initiator of the program Internship is the Yerevan State Linguistic University named after V. Bryusov with financial support of Eurasia Foundation. The involvement of students and graduates of YSU in the program is provided by YSU Alumni and Career Center. In several months the Center presented more than 50 candidatures, more than half of whom are already involved in the program.
According to an employee of YSU Alumni and Career Center, responsible for the program Marat Hovhannisyan, the most important task was to make students and graduates competitive in the labor market to what the program contributes to.
The program has involved more than 150 young people, mostly students of Yerevan State University and Yerevan State Linguistic University. The program will run until December of this year. At the end conclusions will be made, and perhaps that will be continued, - said the assistant of the program Levon Babamyan.
For Lilit Ionanova (Faculty of Russian Philology student), who is one of the participants, this is the second attempt to be provided with the practice opportunity via this program. The main thing is to gain experience, as all employers always require experience. I hope that this program will help me in this matter, - noticed Lilit.
