"We've lost a great political figure and a frank Armenian. The position of prime minister did not change him".

The funeral journal which was in the foyer of the university on 27th of March was full of such sentences. Thanks to this journal the universitarians had an opportunity to present condolences.

It was a spiritual ceremony in the evening of 27th of March in the foyer of YSU central building. On the steps of YSU foyer students one by one placed lightened candles, which was like a cross in the end.

By the initiative of YSU Student Council candle-lightening was organized to the memory of prime minister of RA Andranik Margaryan.

The loss of prime minister is awful for every country. In this case the loss is more painful taking into consideration the past way of Andranik Margaryan person and national figure. It is our students duty to show honour in this persons memory, said the president of YSU Student Council Hamlet Manoukyan.

In the morning of 28th of March the universitarians procession moved to the building of Republican Party from YSU central building and joined the funeral procession.

As a universitarian, citizen of RA and in some case one of the future owners of this country, I am proud that students are not indifferent to the sorrow of the prime ministers family and friends and by their presence inspire the memory of the prime minister, said the head of the Student Department of YSU Mihran Hakobyan.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
