On May 21-26 in YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and YSU Scientific Management Department Head Alik Gharibian participated in the events, devoted to the 30th anniversary of Volgograd State University.
In addition to the Jubilee Celebrations, YSU delegation participated in the international conference on University education issues, Yerevan State University employees and students photo exhibition. These pictures were provided by Alma Mater.
Still a month ago, owing to the efforts of Volgograd State University Rector Oleg Inshakov, local Armenian businessmen and Volsky Humanities Institute, there was founded Armenian Cultural Center in Volsky. During the opening ceremony Yerevan State University Rectorate members also sent greetings via online access.
YSU Rector informed that an agreement was signed with Volgograd State University on conducting of joint training for masters in the area of Management and of Computer Studies.
They are preparing joint training plans. In accordance with the agreement YSU masters will study Volgograd State University for a year and VSU students will study at YSU. Having accomplished the education students will receive diplomas of both universities.
YSU Rector and Alik Gharibyan have held meetings with Volgograd State University professorial staff, Volsky Humanities Institute authorities and the Armenian community.
Finally Yerevan State University delegation visited Volgograd Armenian Cultural Center, the Armenian Church; meetings were held with Volgograd Armenians spiritual shepherd Maghakia Priest Ohanyan, Volgograd Honorary Consul Gagik Shamiryan and Armenian Representative in Volgograd Ashot Grigoryan.
