CHINESE STUDIES EXPECTED
Today YSU guests were Rector and Vice-rector of Sofia State University after St. Clement Orchidsky.

This University can become a serious partner for YSU in the sphere of Chinese studies launch here. Alexander Markarov, head of International Cooperation Administration, states that Chinese studies are developed at Sofia University, and the rector here is a sinologist. 

Currently to achieve this goal we will launch collaboration with China Embassy in Armenia. And the cooperation with the above mentioned university will be of great support for our IHE.

The collaboration between our IHE started a year ago, when the agreement was signed. Besides, Bulgarian language studies were launched at the Faculty of Russian Philology two years ago.

After the discussions with SSU Rector Bolan Biolchev and Vice-rector Alexander Fedotov YSU Rector Aram Simonyan announced that our best students, occupied in the area of Bulgarian language studies, will have a chance to continue their researches at Sofia State University. 

The delegation visited Faculty of Russian Philology, where they were welcomed by Bulgarian songs and poems, presented by our students. 

The poetry is a unique thing in our life. Languages are different, but the feelings must be understood right. My congratulations, as I see this grace here,-said Rector Biolchev.

SSU delegation will stay in Armenia till 12th of November. On the 14th of November Prime-minister of Bulgaria will visit YSU.

"VISUAL COMPUTING" MASTER'S PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTED IN YSU TOGETHER WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ROSTOCK, GERMANY
In 2010, the first time in Armenia a joint double degree MS Program “Visual Computing” developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering of the University of Rostock, Germany and the Information Technologies Educational and Research Center of YSU has been launched. The development of the program has been completely supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
YSU SCIENTISTS MANUFACTURE A NANOSTRUCTURED SENSOR DETECTING LOW CONCENTRATIONS OF HYDROGEN
The Science Committee of MօESCS (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports) RA (Republic of Armenia) has guaranteed funding for the scientific topic of "Preparation of a nanostructured sensor detecting low concentrations of hydrogen". We talked about the project with Mikael Aleksanyan, associate professor, head of YSU center of semiconductor devices and nanotechnologies.
