Beginning with 2009, on the birthday of the eminent Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan, the day of presenting books is celebrated in our country.
In the morning students donated books to the faculty library and later the faculty was visited by writers David Muradyan and Hovik Hoveyan. By the way they had also prepared books as presents.
The meeting became a real hot discussion. Mr. Muradyan mentioned that our readers are too passive today and brought the following example: very often the book stores are closed and food, clothing markets are opened instead of them.
Mr. Muradyan cited the founder of the Armenian alphabet and reminded about his observations.
He is sure currently Armenian nation comes back to the world of literature. One can say not many people like books, but I will say there has not been an epoch, where the situation used to be a different one. The readers are not many, but they are the moral, ethical basis, which helps to form a nation.
One of the most active poets of our times Hovik Hoveyan spoke with our students in the language of poetry. He remembered of different discussion, organized in his student years and expressed his wish to meet with students to organize a discussion on literature.

The official closing ceremony of the training phase of the program entitled "Information about the country of origin in the context of asylum decision procedures" took place in the courtroom of the Faculty of Law of YSU.
