The workshop, launched yesterday at YSU Faculty of Journalism, was initiated by the Embassy of Germany in Armenia. Ambassador Hans-Jochen Schmidt, congratulating women on the occasion of March 8 during the opening of the Seminar, noted that Deutsche Welle has got an important place in the journalistic field in the world.
The two-day seminar was be attended by the representatives of various Armenian radio companies. Some of them are the representatives of sports media. Participants were 12, because according to the organizers the effectiveness increases when working with small groups.
The organization of such events is very important, because the acquisition of new knowledge and the consolidation of existing make one more confident in the professional field, - noted the Coordinator of Vanadzor radio program Mig Karine Vanesyan.
Journalist, representing Radio Company Shirak from Gyumri Eranuhi Sargsyan noted that she has got the experience in participation in seminars, but it is the first time she has joined such a specialized seminar, related to the radio.
Those problems, which will be discussed at the seminar, are very relevant and important. I am sure that the need to learn the experience of international journalism is extremely high. I would like the knowledge gained by You here to be used in Your media, taking into consideration the peculiarities of our reality, - said the Dean of YSU Faculty of Journalism Naghash Martirosyan.
By the way, during the recent visit of Mr. Martirosyan to Germany, an agreement was reached with the leadership of Deutsche Welle, according to which Deutsche Welle corner will be opened at the Faculty of Journalism.
According to the organizers, the vast majority of sessions will be practical in order to improve efficiency. And in the end of the seminar journalists will receive certificates from the Academy of Deutsche Welle.
Germanys International Broadcasting Station Deutsche Welle was founded in 1953. Pan-European media holding is located in Berlin and Bonn, and prepares radio and TV programs around the world. It also runs an Internet site, available in 30 languages. Academy Deutsche Welle annually organizes trainings for journalists from all over the world.
