ARMENIAN-TURKMEN COOPERATION ENTERS A NEW STAGE
A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between YSU and Mahtumkuli State University of Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to Armenia at the invitation of the RA President Serzh Sargsyan on August 23-24.

In the framework of the visit today meetings with the participation of the delegations of the two countries took place at the RA Presidential Palace.


The Presidents discussed the prospects of dynamic development of bilateral relations in trade-economic, scientific, cultural and educational spheres, making focus on the inter-parliamentary dialogue, business circles and creative intelligentsia.


Documents aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and Turkmenistan in a number of spheres have also been signed.


In particular, YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and Rector of Turkmen State Mahtumkuli University Bayramgul Orakrtiyeva signed an agreement on "Cooperation between Yerevan State University and Mahtumkul State University of Turkmenistan".


According to the document, the sides reached an agreement on the implementation of new programs, mutual visits and exchange of experience.


It should be noted that YSU and Mahtumkuli State University have been cooperating for many years in the field of education. In recent years, cooperation has been more active, which is evidenced by mutual visits, scientific and cultural joint events.
