BOOKCROSSING CORNER AT YSU
BOOKCROSSING CORNER AT YSU
Today, a “Bookcrossing Corner” was opened for the students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology.

Within the framework of the event the participants presented the best works of the world literature and donated books to the Chair of Translation Studies and Practice.

“Bookcrossing Corner” is an internationally recognized phenomenon, which, however is not popular in Armenia. Similar corner was opened at YSU this year at the proposal of the lecturer at the above mentioned chair Lusine Sargsyan and initiative of the SSS of this faculty.

“Being inspired by the Book Donation Day, we decided to organize this event to replenish the library of our chair,” - said Lusine Sargsyan.

3rd year students of the Chair of Translation Studies and Practice formed 4 groups and donated their favorite books, which according to them are very popular and interesting. In addition, each of the groups chose one book, which is the most favorite one for him or her and presented its content during the event.

Faculty SSS Chairman Venera Stepanyan said that the program will continue next year: “Thanks to such measures more books will be at the disposal of our students.”

At the end of the event the best participants received certificates.
