On this occasion we talked to the Dean of the Faculty of Sociology Arthur Mkrtchyan. “I’d like to claim with delight that YSU publishing house managed to do a good present to our students and specialists just in time-prior to the Francophonie days. The collection of articles,interviews and essays of the distinguished French sociologists of the end of the 20th century, Pierre Bourdieu and Jean Baudrillard, was published in Armenian translation”, said Arthur Mkrtchyan.
The Dean of the Faculty of Sociology Arthur Mkrtchyan attached importance to the translation of the works by the authors as those are involved in the academic program.
“These eminent thinkers of the late 20th century represent a whole epoch in the French culture. Present day Francophonie, today’s French culture can’t be imagined without these two authors-Bourdieu and Baudrillard. Bourdieu’s Distinction is regarded as one of the best 3 books ever launched in the history of sociology”, said Arthur Mkrtchyan.
The book was translated by the graduate of the Faculty of Sociology Hripsimeh Dayan. The scientific editor of the book is Doctor, Professor Lyudmila Harutyunyan.

This year, for the first time, the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Biology are to have pedagogical internship which will last 4 weeks (February-March). We had a talk with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Biology Karen Ghazaryan.
