YSU STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE CONCERT DEDICATED TO THE GREAT COMPOSER
On November 25, the concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the composer Alexey Hekimyan took place at the Babajanyan Concert Hall, in which students of YSU Cultural Center also participated.

The event was organized by International Center for Russian Culture “Harmony”.


“It has been a long time since we have been working with students. Such events are frequently organized. Our goal is to involve not only the students of the Conservatory, but also the other students,” - said Aida Harutyunyan, director of the Center “Harmony” and added that she is happy to see students singing and perceiving Alexey Hekimyan’s works with pleasure.


“It is a pleasure for me to be on stage, because it is not always a chance to perform such a great composer’s works,” - said Mary Arshakyan, a second-year student at YSU Faculty of Journalism.


During the concert, the choir and soloists of the Cultural Center performed. The concert program was also attended by the students of the State Institute of Cinema and Theater, Students of the State Medical University named after M. Heratsi and others.


YSU Faculty of Sociology 1st year Master student Ani Kocharyan performed the song “Karabakh”: “It is a great responsibility to give a concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Alexei Hekimyan. He is one of the best Armenian classical composers, whose works I love very much,” - says Ani Kocharyan.


The participants of the concert program received certificates of appreciation.


The most famous works of the “Renowned Master of the Arts” of the Armenian SSR Alexey Hekimyan are: “Spring is Coming”, “Good Story”, “Sing for Me”, “The Deer of Karabakh”, “My Armenia”, “Karabakh”.
