FEATURES OF BANKING SECTOR FOR STUDENTS
Today, YSU and “HSBC Bank Armenia” CJSC signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Vice-rector on Educational Affairs Alexander Grigoryan received in his office the CEO of “HSBC Bank Armenia” CJSC Paul Edgar.

 

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, representatives of YSU Alumni and Career Centre and “HSBC Bank Armenia”.

 

The parties discussed the ways of the long-term and effective cooperation, university-labor market relations, as well as the opportunities and prospects for internship for students.

 

Alexander Grigoryan presented the guests YSU history and development trends and then said: “We do really appreciate the cooperation with this bank in terms of obtaining practical knowledge for our students, providing them with the career building opportunities.”

 

Ruben Markosyan also touched upon the issues of cooperation in the field of HEI-employer-labor market and the implementation of these issues by the university management.

 

Then Paul Edgar met with YSU students in the frames of the new project “The role of leadership in career development: university-enterprise cooperation in a new format”.

 

“I am for the first time at Yerevan State University. I am honored to be received here. I must say that I loved Yerevan and hospitable Armenians from the very first day,” - said Paul Edgar.

 

“HSBC Bank Armenia” CJSC CEO presented some biographical information; spoke about the history of the bank in the world and particularly in Armenia, the organization of banking, its characteristics and the required skills.

 

Students not only asked questions to the speaker, but also enthusiastically responded to the questions raised by the guest.
