NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR MASTER STUDENTS
NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR MASTER STUDENTS
As a result of the cooperation between YSU and UMCOR Armenia Charitable Foundation, 8 students of Master’s degree will receive compensation by UMCOR Armenia Charitable Foundation.

YSU Alumni and Career Center and “UMCOR Armenia” Charitable Foundation implement the “Support to Study, Investment in Future” project within which YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and “UMCOR Armenia” Charitable Foundation Director Gohar Grigoryan signed a cooperation memorandum.

“This initiative is very commendable and necessary, as most graduates, especially those in the provinces, cannot afford to pay their tuition fees,” - said Aram Simonyan.

YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, UMCOR Armenia and YSU Alumni and Career Center staff attended the meeting.

The cooperation between YSU and “UMCOR Armenia” includes the presentation of the above mentioned project and provision of awareness for the students of YSU faculties of Sociology, Economics and Management who wish to continue their studies at YSU Master’s degree.

"UMCOR Armenia" will organize “Program Design”, “Budgeting” and “Presentation Skills” for selected students and will compensate the tuition fees of winners (2 years for 8 students).

“It is expected that the participants will be students from regions and will design their community development plans. The authors of the best programs will receive a two-year Master’s tuition fee reimbursement as a reward,” - said YSU Vice-rector Ruben Markosyan and added that these programs may also include master’s thesis topics.

As Gohar Grigoryan mentioned, the best programs proposed by students will be implemented by UMCOR Armenia in their communities in future.
