YSU STRENGTHENS COOPERATION WITH ITS PARTNERS
On June 20-24 YSU Delegation took part in the events dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Martin Luther Hallle-Wittenberg University. The parties also signed 5-year cooperation agreement.

YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Anushavan Bishop Zhamkochyan and Head of the Rector’s Office Alik Gharibyan participated in the jubilee events and sessions of the university founded in 1817.

 

The bilateral agreement signed by YSU Rector Aram Simonyan and Rector of Halle-Wittenberg University named after Martin Luther Udo Sträter, relates to the planning and implementation of researches, exchange of tutors, scientists, students, as well as joint organization of the literary oriented, scientific and cultural events.

 

The rectors of the two universities also spoke about the sponsorship of the Mashtots Armenological Center at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Halle-Wittenberg University.

 

 

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was also held with the dean of the Faculty of Theology at Halle-Wittenberg University, during which issues of cooperation were discussed with a focus on a double diploma master’s degree program, coordination of works on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and other issues.
