YSU Vice-rector on Educational Affairs Alexander Grigoryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Armenia, Professor Judy Chrisnand.
Head of YSU International Cooperation Office Alexander Margarov also attended the meeting and presented the Ambassador and delegation members our international relations, educational and research programs, and the main directions of development.
“We are glad that the Republic of Indonesia is interested in the educational sphere of Armenia, in particular YSU. We are ready to cooperate with Indonesian universities to implement educational, scientific, exchange programs and mutual visits,” - said Vice-Rector Alexander Grigoryan.
Ambassador Judy Chrisnand added that the information will be transmitted to the Indonesian Ministry of Education for further study and implementation of joint programs.
“I am sure that in the near future, after some issues have been clarified, Armenian students will have an opportunity to get education at the best Indonesian universities,” - the Ambassador said.
The parties noted that the universities of the two countries have a wide range of cooperation, but agreed to start cooperation from the field of science, combining a number of directions: academic education, scientific research and production.
“Pharmacy sphere with all its branches, education, production, research has serious development prospects all over the world. We are glad that Yerevan State University also has strong foundations and development tendencies in this area. I think our students will be able to study Armenian experience and gain new knowledge,” - added Professor Judy Chrisnand.
