YSU STUDENTS SUMMED UP THEIR BUSINESS PROGRAMS
YSU STUDENTS SUMMED UP THEIR BUSINESS PROGRAMS
On June 30, YSU hosted the closing ceremony of a series of trainings on “Developing Students’ Entrepreneurial Capabilities within Startup Initiatives”.

The program was launched in March. Although the duration of the program was one month, however, the initiators carried out it in several months. YSU Entrepreneurship Development Centre is organizing these courses. Leading experts in the field of entrepreneurship delivered lectures for YSU students. They have outlined the steps that are needed to record success in the field.

YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, welcoming the participants and congratulating them for the successful completion of the academic year, said: “You are the first graduates of our long-term training program. I think our courses will help you make your first steps in the field of entrepreneurship. I hope this program will be more effective and comprehensive in future.”

YSU Vice-rector also listened to the participants of the program, as well as their impressions and opinions on how effective those courses were. YSU students who specialize in Entrepreneurship and Startups have noted that the courses have been completed with an extensive schedule, during which issues on the peculiarities and nuances of the industry were also raised.

Veronika Hovhannisyan is a second year student at YSU Faculty of Sociology. She had applied for the participation in the program as has long been interested in entrepreneurship and startups:

“This program gave us a great opportunity to realize our ideas. I have attended the trainings with great enthusiasm. I must say every lecture differed from the other one. From this point of view, I find such trainings important.”

The participants of the program had been divided into 6 teams. They presented their ideas; spoke about their necessity, as well as the provisions contained in the program. Most of the programs presented related to the production. When presenting their work, teams pointed out the importance of market positioning, customer satisfaction, and financial planning as an important component.

The program participants received certificates in the end of the event.
