ARMENIA IS NOW PERCEIVED AS A DEMOCRATIC  STATE. MEETING DISCUSSION AT YSU
On the initiative of National Assembly MP, member of YSU Board of Trustees Hamazasp Danielyan, representatives of International IDEA Peter Wolf and Nana Kalandadze were hosted at YSU today.

They presented the main points of the report "The global state of democracy 2019" and its reflections on Armenia.

International IDEA is an intergovernmental organization that promotes the stability of democracy around the world. The organization publishes the report "State of Democracy in the World" which analyzes the trends of democracy and presents its main challenges.

 

The 2019 report also touched upon Armenia.

The report notes that despite the challenges and dangers, the number of democratic countries has grown, and among several countries, Armenia is also now perceived as a democratic state.
