It should be noted that the financing was implemented within the frames of “Postgraduate research assistance program of 2018”.
Presenting the scientific theme the leader of the program explained, “Cancer cells can differ from their normal analogues with the activity and concentration of some ferments. Through measuring of the activity of such ferments it is possible to apply new therapeutic approaches in cancer treatment.
As a result of the research conducted during the last years, the significant role of the ferments arginase and NO synthase included in L-arginine amino acid metabolism in immunobiology has been confirmed”.
In accordance with the results of the research, increasing the activity of arginase can cause endothelial dysfunction in cardio-vascular system. A new model of treating cardio-vascular diseases will be presented within the frames of the scientific program.
