FUTURE ECONOMISTS PRESENT THEIR VIEWPOINTS
On the 14th and 15th of March a conference was held in Tsaghkadzor, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of YSU foundation and 25th anniversary of YSU Faculty of Economics reopening.

The initiative belongs to the Student Scientific Society of this faculty. This is the 2nd stage of the conference, held still in November of 2008. All 18 participants had made their reports that time. The remarks and opinions of the jury are already available. The edited variants of the reports were presented this time.

The quality of the reports was obvious. All the works were completed. I am glad for, first of all, the serious attitude towards the conference and possibility for the scientific progress are obvious, - said the SSS Chairman of the above mentioned faculty Gourgen Gasparyan.

Each of the six members of the jury, formed of representatives of all six chairs of the faculty, estimated the reports taking into consideration the following criterions: innovation, quality, way of presentation and application on practice. Fro each of these criterions 10 points could be given.

Finally three winners with their average amount of points were decided. The winner was the first year master student Arthur Makaryan. The runner-up was Tigran Abovyan (4th year student), and third place holder Lilit Popoyan (1st year master). The winners were awarded certificates and prizes by the sponsor of the conference VTB Bank Armenia.

Audience had also a possibility to choose the winner. The opinions of jury and audience occurred to be the same, so the Audience sympathy prize was awarded to Arthur Yeghiazaryan, who had taken the second place.

As a rule, students are involved in the SSS activities beginning with 3rd year of studies. Two sophomores were among the participants here, so, we could not ignore their initiative, - said YSU SSS Chairman Karlen Khachatryan. The jury challenge prize was given to one of the junior participants Astghik Galoyan, who had shown a perfect result.

A round table-discussion was held on the 14th of March on the topic World economic crisis influence on Armenia.

Karlen Khachatryan said the reports, presented during the conference, were considered to be serious by organizers and jury. So, those are going to be published by all means.
