EDIK MINASYAN HAS BEEN RE_ELECTED DEAN OF FACULTY OF HISTORY
A meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of History was held today.

The meeting had three items on the agenda: Dean’s election, awarding of the title of Associate Professor, discussion of current issues. Dean’s election was started with a minute of silence in commemoration of the Armenologist, the Candidate of Historical Sciences,, Associate professor of the Chair of Archaeology and Ethnology Hayk Hakobyan.

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexander Grigoryan was present at the meeting as well.

There was only one candidate for Dean’s position-Edik Minasyan.

Doctor of History, Professor Edik Minasyan spoke about the strategy program of the faculty development and referred to a number of existing problems.

The teaching staff of the faculty informed that they guarantee Mr. Minasyan for Dean’s position.

The voting took place after the speech, and Mr. Minasyan was elected Den of the Faculty of History.

By the second voting the postgraduates of the Chair of History and Theory of Art Lilit Pipoyan and Satenik Vardanyan were awarded the title of Associate Professors.
A number of current problems were discussed as well.
