In the framework of Russian TV Days in Armenia Russian journalists delegation visited YSU on November 16. Head of the delegation was Russian TV Academy Foundsation Chairman, RF Representative on intercultural cooperation affairs Mikhayil Shvidkoy.

TV is widely criticized in our days, especilally people, who are occupied in this area. But I can tell You for sure there is no better profession in the wprrdl than the TV journalism is,- said Mr. Shvidkoy in his welcoming speech, addressed to YSU Faculty of Journalism representatives.

Our guest presented the membres of the delegation and then the dialogue began. The issues of Russian TV journalism and journalism in general were focused on together with the prospects for the cooperation between Armenian and Russian colleagues.

To my mind Russian journalism faces the lack of freedom. One can never reject the fact of the censure existence anywhere, but as for Russian case, here we also deal with self-censure. Currently journalists in Russia first of all think of the consequences of the material, after it is ready, - said Eteri Lelieva, Executive producer of TV Project Top Secret.

In the end of the meeting YSU Rector Aram Simonyan presented our guests photoalbums about Armenia. Our guests, in their turn, presented us CD compilations devoted to Russian history.
