SUMMER SCHOOL IN YSU
SUMMER SCHOOL IN YSU
Summer school entitled "Establishment and investment of IHE mechanisms for educational quality in Armenia" was opened on the 16th of July in the Hall after Paleans of YSU.

This project is the joint initiative of SEUA and YSU by the support of Open Society Institute-Foundation Armenian branch.

The courses with the duration of two weeks will be held in YSU. 

Trainings for first week will be held by Eva Eriksson, Professor from Lund University of Sweden. These activities will be followed by Professor Muzzier Golan from Turin Polytechnic University, Italy from 23rd to 26th of July. 

Round table is foreseen for 27th of July in the above mentioned hall with the participation of RA IHE rectors. The round table will be headed by RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan.

"VISUAL COMPUTING" MASTER'S PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTED IN YSU TOGETHER WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ROSTOCK, GERMANY
In 2010, the first time in Armenia a joint double degree MS Program “Visual Computing” developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering of the University of Rostock, Germany and the Information Technologies Educational and Research Center of YSU has been launched. The development of the program has been completely supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
YSU SCIENTISTS MANUFACTURE A NANOSTRUCTURED SENSOR DETECTING LOW CONCENTRATIONS OF HYDROGEN
The Science Committee of MօESCS (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports) RA (Republic of Armenia) has guaranteed funding for the scientific topic of "Preparation of a nanostructured sensor detecting low concentrations of hydrogen". We talked about the project with Mikael Aleksanyan, associate professor, head of YSU center of semiconductor devices and nanotechnologies.
