YOUNG PEOPLE ARE READY TO SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR THE HOMELAND
YSU hosted the founder, commander of the first Reconnaissance Unit officer Vova Vartanov.

The documentary “Happy, sad, and things like these”, telling us about Vova Vartanov and this unit, was shown at YSU Cultural Centre today.

The film is about the intelligence officer Vova Vartanov and his group, who operated in the years of Artsakh Liberation Struggle.

The event, which was organized by YSU Cultural Centre and the National Cinema Centre of Armenia, was attended by Vova Varntanov, film scriptwriter and director Gagik Stepanyan, reconnaissance unit members, students.


The guests were welcomed by YSU Cultural Centre’s Director Karine Davtyan: “It is a great honor to host you at YSU. I think such events are of great importance for the patriotic education of the young generation.”

 

The process of making the film, the creative work and mission was presented by Gagik Stepanyan, after that Mr. Vartanov made a speech.

“Today’s youth are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the homeland. Our goal is to educate a professional soldier. Our enemy never sleeps, we have to be ready and our children need to be ready,” – said the guest.


At the end of the meeting students were given the opportunity to ask questions our guests.
