YSU FRANCOPHONIE CLUB WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED TODAY
An event dedicated to the official opening of YSU Francophonie Club took place today at YSU Charents Hall.

YSU Francophonie Club was created by the initiative of Margarita Avdalyan, first-year master student of French department of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, active students who are part of a large Francophone family.

The Club was established in October 2017 with the aim of bringing together the Francophone students of the University to implement diverse programs, to actively participate in the events, and, of course, to promote the spread of French and other cultural values.

"I think that the club will be a student body that will unite all the students to make their student years full of interesting and promising initiatives," - said Margarita Avdalyan.

At the beginning of the event, head of the Chair of French Philology Zaven Harutyunyan welcomed the participants and wished good luck to the club.

During the event, students performed songs in French, made recitations and performances. This year, for the first time, students of the Department of English Language and Literature also participated in the event and demonstrated their linguistic skills in French language.
