Due to the efforts of RAU and French Embassy in Armenia the festival has become a tradition since 2009.
This year the festival was dedicated to Charles Aznavour and all the songs were from his repertoire.
The jury was represented by TV personality Nazeni Hovhannisyan, composer Karen Ananyan, the director of RAU Media, Advertising and Cinema Institute Nina Kevorkova, the director of the Cultural Centre of RAU Georgi Sarajyan.
At the annual festival were competing YSU, RAU, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, French University of Armenia, American University of Armenia, State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov, Shirak State University, Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography, Yerevan State Conservatoire after Komitas.
The honorary guest of the festival was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia H.E. Jonathan Lacote who promised to sing together with the Rector of RAU Armen Darbinyan during the next event.
The choir of YSU Cultural Centre which involved 15 students performed “Ave Maria”.
By the unanimous decision of the jury YSU choir got the Grand Prix, and the title “Best stage image” was awarded to Mary Khachatryan who is a 2nd year student of YSU Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics. As the director of YSU Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan said, the guarantee of their victory was their endless love for Charles Aznavour which the singers managed to express.

An event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the RA people's artist, director, screenwriter, and actor Albert Mkrtchyan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center. In the framework of cooperation with the National Film Center of Armenia, the famous director's film "Happy Bus" was shown.

From 15 to 19 July 2022, a conference on "The Cultural Heritage of Artsakh" was held at the Yerevan State University and the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Vayots Dzor/Armenia. More than 30 international scholars and experts discussed the origin, historical development and current threats to cultural heritage in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). These are part of the Armenian culture and, thus, amongst the oldest heritage of Christianity.
