For the 9th year in a row, on Francophonie days, YSU Center for Culture and the Chair of French Philology of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology have organized the festival of French song to make French culture more popular.
This year the festival is dedicated to the world-famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour.
The Dean of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology Samvel Abrahamyan, Deputy Dean Gevorg Barseghyan, the head of the Chair of French Philology Zaven Harutyunyan, the director of the Center for Culture Karine Davtyan, lecturers, students were present at the event. Those present kept a minute of silence in commemoration to Charles Aznavour.
Samvel Abrahamyan made the opening speech. He mentioned that the main goal of the International Organization of Francophonie is to develop friendly relations between people.

A literary composition based on the works of the modern poet, and literary critic, YSU professor Henrik Edoyan was presented at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
