WE REMEMBER AND DEMAND. UNIVERSITY STAFF AND STUDENTS PAY TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
The 106th anniversary of the atrocity committed against the Armenians by the Ottoman Empire has passed. Thousands of people today visit the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to pay tribute to the memory of the more than 1.5 million Armenians who fell victim to the genocide in the early 20th century.

The university  staff and students laid a wreath in front of the memorial and laid flowers at the eternal fire.

In a conversation with us, YSU Scientific Secretary Levon Hovsepyan mentioned that especially now the Armenian people must reconsider the Genocide Council. "The misunderstandings that exist, and the discourse that seems to emerge, are the result of not learning the lessons of history."

Let us inform you that on April 23, the representatives of the student structures of YSU participated in the annual torchlight procession.
