“HEN-GEAR” PLATFORM WAS PRESENTED TO THE REPRESENTATIVES OF BUSINESS SECTOR
The bridge between the universities and the business sector “HEN-GEAR” helping the graduates and the enterprises to easily connect each other expands its scopes of work.

Today, the program "Higher Education Network for Human Capital Assessment and Graduate Employability in Armenia" (“HEN-GEAR”), as well as alumni employment “HEN-GEAR” portal, developed in its framework, was presented to the Armenian entrepreneurs at Ani Plaza Hotel.

 

Project Coordinator of “Alma Laurea” Interuniversity Consortium Luisa Mengoni, YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan, representatives from the RA Ministry of Education and Science, Union of Industrialists and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia, National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia and others were present at this meeting.

 

Executive director of the Union of Industrialists and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia Eduard Kirakosyan, speaking about the “HEN-GEAR” program, said that positive results are already visible in Armenia: “There are graduates who have solved the problem of employment via “HEN-GEAR” portal. I hope the program will operate more efficiently in future.”

 

Ruben Markosyan noted that this is the first official meeting with the employers before the introduction of the system in Armenia: “We are expanding the scopes of our cooperation, entering the field of the university-enterprise cooperation.”

 

During the meeting, Luisa Mengoni presented the features of the program, how it operates, how to register there, and then answered questions asked by the representatives of business sector.

 

We should note that the “HEN-GEAR” portal was developed by a number of partner universities in the framework of the EU “Tempus” program. It is aimed to solve the employment problems of graduates, as well as support the development of the quality of education via partnership with graduates.

According to the agreement approved today, the two universities will carry out exchange programs for professors, researchers and students, will exchange scientific, professional literature, periodicals and other materials, will organize joint research programs, conferences and other events.
