BE BEST IN YOUR SPHERE
BE BEST IN YOUR SPHERE
The graduates of Alma Mater will have an easier way to orientate in the labour market from now on.

By the initiative of Alumni and Career Center of YSU series of seminars headed Universitarian Education and Prospective of Career Construction started on the 1st of December. The new established Centers main goal is to support the graduates of YSU to find a job.

After the transition to market economy the future employment became a serious and key problem for the University. In the previous period, in the conditions of Soviet planned economy none of the graduates ever faced this problem, getting a position having graduated form the Higher Educational Institution, but today generally they have to rely on their own efforts, using personal communications.

The Director of Alumni and Career Center of YSU Christine Vardanyan considered it to be very vital and urgent to monitor and research the labour market in present times. The Center has foreseen to organize trainings and seminars, which will help to acquire the corresponding job experience, and this will reduce the level of unemployment among the graduates,- she said.

The Center will hold seven seminars. The seminar headed Sequence of Stages of Career and Secret of Managed Career will provide with the opportunity to involve the students and graduates in coming events and give them knowledge which will help them to make a right choice in the labour market after numerous meetings with the employers.

Edgar Badalyan, a student of the Department of Ecology of the Faculty of Chemistry, was too interested in the project. I would like to learn the new trends and motions in the labour market and in the sphere of employment. This Center undertakes a valuable and useful mission in the area of founding of the labour market and in the sphere of awareness of students.

Reporters from the project Armenia 2020 and International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) were invited. They made a stress on the significance of volunteer activities by students together with their daily self-education, the skills to represent personal abilities as much as it is possible. And the most important, according to them, is when each personality is the best specialist in his/her field.
