“IN-HOUSE” TRAINING AT YSU
“IN-HOUSE” TRAINING AT YSU
The “In-House” training was conducted at YSU on October 2, 2015 in order to present the aims and objectives of the TEMPUS VERITAS project and also to inform about the implenetation process of the project.

PhD students, masters, professors of molecular physics department, researchers from the scientific-research laboratory and other employees of YSU who was interested in program took part in this acitivity. In particular, during the training local manager of the project at YSU Gegham Gevogyan and project particicpant Ishkhan Vardanyan presented and interpreted the aims of the project, the 10 Salzburg principles and Training kit published in the framework of the project.

 

After the active discussion the Road-map on PhD education implementation  and  developed on it the strategic plan of the pilot PhD program were presented as well.

"VISUAL COMPUTING" MASTER'S PROGRAM IS IMPLEMENTED IN YSU TOGETHER WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF ROSTOCK, GERMANY
In 2010, the first time in Armenia a joint double degree MS Program “Visual Computing” developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering of the University of Rostock, Germany and the Information Technologies Educational and Research Center of YSU has been launched. The development of the program has been completely supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
YSU SCIENTISTS MANUFACTURE A NANOSTRUCTURED SENSOR DETECTING LOW CONCENTRATIONS OF HYDROGEN
The Science Committee of MօESCS (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports) RA (Republic of Armenia) has guaranteed funding for the scientific topic of "Preparation of a nanostructured sensor detecting low concentrations of hydrogen". We talked about the project with Mikael Aleksanyan, associate professor, head of YSU center of semiconductor devices and nanotechnologies.
