On April 25-27 YSU delegation will visit Artsakh.

Beginning with 2006, members of YSU Student Council and Student Scientific Society every year pay visits to Artsakh. They are largely supported in this undertaking by YSU Military-patriotic Education Club “Vardanank” and the Division on Student Affairs.

According to the Head of YSU Division on Student Affairs Vahagn Varagyan the main purpose of the visit is to participate in the memorial event, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the soldier-liberator Petros Ghevondyan, which will take place at the school, named after him.

In addition to this our delegation will visit the military unit in Srkhavend, which is also named after this hero. Here the members of “Vardanank” and Commission on Cultural Affairs of YSU Student Council will present their programs.

It is also envisaged to hold a conference at the Artsakh State University, devoted to the 20th anniversary of the ceasefire. Then our delegation will visit the University Park in Berdzor, where the traditional tree planting will be organized, devoted to the 95th anniversary of YSU foundation and 20th anniversary of YSU Student Council’s foundation.

We should note also that the financial support for this visit is shown by the Armenian Youth Foundation.
