SCIENTIFIC TOPIC: NEW BIOREMEDIATION BIOTECHNOLOGY BASED ON METAL-RESISTANT BACTERIA IS EXPECTED TO BE DEVELOPED
The topic "Metal-resistant bacteria as remedies for the environment" presented by YSU was guaranteed funding as a result of a competition announced by the Science Committee of the ESCS.

As a result of the project, it is planned to create a biotechnology based on bacteria, which will contribute to the processing of mining waste, reducing their toxic impact on the environment.

"Our goal is to fully identify these bacteria, to study their metal resistance and mechanisms, as well as to understand how we can use them to restore a polluted environment," said head of the research group said Armine Margaryan.
