"IF THERE IS NO REPRESENTATION IN THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, IT CANNOT BE RECOGNIZED AS A COMPETENT GOVERNING BODY." GEVORG DANIELYAN
Gevorg Danielyan, Acting Head of YSU Chair of Theory and History of State and Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Armenia spoke about the process of forming YSU Board of Trustees, stating that it is a representative body and in order to have the right to act it is necessary to ensure election or appointment of all members.

The government has decided to reduce the number of members of the Board of Trustees from 32 to 20. The Ministry of Education and Science applied to the acting rector of YSU Gegham Gevorgyan to form a new board of trustees of YSU, proposing to nominate the teaching staff and students of YSU Student Council by May 24 according to the proportion defined by the decision of the Government.

Regarding these processes and the decision of the Government, Gevorg Danielyan told us that the issue should be discussed in two aspects, taking into account the procedure of forming a governing body with a collegial representative body and the necessary number of members to solve this problem.
