“WE WILL ESTABLISH COOPERATION WITH COUNTRIES THAT PRACTICE ANTI-ARMENIAN POLICY AT OTHER STRUCTURES”: SHAHEN AVAGYAN
Today, students of YSU Faculty of International Relations received the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shahen Avagyan.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a lecture on the “Preparations and priorities of the 18th Francophonie Summit”.

Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Gegham Petrosyan thanked the guest for his visit and presented his biography, rich diplomatic experience and professional career.

Shahen Avagyan called on young people to be always creative: “It is pleasant when our students are active. Such meetings should be regular. We are ready to cooperate, so we can also organize discussions at the ministry.”

The speaker briefly touched upon the history, development stages and mission of the International Organization of the Francophonie and then presented in details the organizational works of the 18th Francophonie summit to be held in Armenia.

The Secretary General also spoke about the impact of the international organization on Armenian foreign policy as well as the summit in Armenia, presenting the most advantageous provisions for the state.

The Francophonie Economic Forum will be organized within the framework of the summit, which aims to encourage business contacts, discuss economic development strategies and discuss development challenges and prospects.

“We emphasize the strengthening of institutional and professional relations of entrepreneurs and we hope that in Yerevan it will be possible to create a basis for formation of Francophonie business network,” - added the guest.

After the speech, Mr. Avagyan answered students' questions.
