According to the tradition, YSU Faculty of Journalism also organized a reception for the first-year students.

The festive event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Naghash Martirosyan, heads of chairs, professors and students.

Naghash Martirosyan, congratulating the freshmen, wished them success and purposefulness: “Today is again a holiday at YSU Faculty of Journalism. I want each of us with his presence, mood, beautiful dreams really make this day an eternal one.”

First-year students were also congratulated by the Executive Director of Public Radio, distinguished journalist Mark Grigoryan, who said this day symbolically coincided with the first radiobroadcast: “I came to you immediately after the live broadcast. We are in the neighboring buildings and I have a great desire that during the years of your studies and then that neighborhood will become your home. Today I am very happy to be able to greet you and say, dear colleagues, welcome to the profession. "



Head of New Media and Journalism Chair David Petrosyan, who also congratulated everybody on the occasion of the new academic year said: “Dear freshmen, I see that you are willing to get new professional knowledge to enter the journalism world to find your place. We are ready to help you and always be with you.”

During the event, students met with “Shant” TV “Horizon” program commentator Christine Alagulyan, commentator on Armenia TV Lara Arakelyan, sports commentator of the Public Television of Armenia Karen Giloyan and Yerkir Media TV Company’s “Country Issue” program’s author David Sargsyan.
