YOUNG SCHOLAR FROM THE UNIVERSITY IS ELECTED MEMBER OF EDITORIAL OF PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL
The Associate Professor of the Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology of YSU, Doctor of Biology Karen Trchounyan has been elected member of the editorial of “Scientific Reports” journal published by “Nature” publishing group launched in Great Britain.

The journal covers fields of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and other nature sciences as well as Health Science. Karen Trchounyan informed us that “Scientific Reports” journal estimates the scientific value and relevance of articles but not their possible practical importance or feasibility.

It should be noted that of the scientists of the regional countries Mr. Trchounyan was the only scientist involved in the editorial of the journal.

As a member of “Scientific Reports” editorial he will be responsible for articles in certain areas, he will decide whether this or that article is worth publishing or not.

“I will be able to orientate students more professionally and consult them on the areas into which research is more preferable, on how to write articles to arise interest and to be published in international periodicals. This is another source of knowledge for me”. Said K. Trchounyan.

According to him, his selection will promote increasing the international recognition of YSU, contribute to internalization of scientific research conducted in Armenia.
