ARTHUR AGHABEKYAN VISITED YSU
Today YSU hosted Artsakh Hero, lieutenant general of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artur Aghabekyan.

The goal of the meeting organized by YSU Center for Student Affairs was to introduce students to the military-political situation in the Republic of Artsakh.

The military-political career of the general and some biographical information about the guest was presented by Vahagn Varagyan, head of YSU Center for Student Affairs.

“It is a great honor for us to host the leader of the Artsakh Movement who has made a serious contribution to the Artsakh liberation and today has a great role in the ongoing military and political developments,” - said the head of the student body.

Then Arthur Aghabekyan delivered a lecture on “The Military-Political Situation in the Region and Possible Developments”.

“Meetings with students are undoubtedly pleasing and important. Although I studied in Polytechnic University, most of the day I spent in the yard of YSU because my friends were university students,” - said Arthur Aghabekyan.

The general touched upon the processes taking place in the region, presented the developments in the military-political context and pointed out the key issues and areas that will allow Armenia to be more competitive in our region and to face the challenges.

“Over time, many changes have taken place in the military-political field of our region, and after the war of April, superpowers have made geopolitical reviews and series of “if” appeared. In this situation, we tried to make tough statements and dictate our rules of the game,” - said the general.

The guest also touched upon a number of issues and priorities for the leadership and citizens of the Republic of Artsakh.

At the end of the meeting, Arthur Aghabekyan also answered a number of questions asked by students.
